Ultrasonic instruments are irreplaceable for conventional endodontic treatment, retreatment and microsurgery.
As specialists, endodontists are usually faced with complex cases that require extreme precision and accuracy. While microscope allows visualization in the magnified field, ultrasonics are the tools that do a lot of the mechanical work.

1. Conventional Endodontics
   • Breaking down calcifications
   • Locating canals

2. Surgical Endodontics
   • Allows visualization of missed canals, isthmus and fractures
   • Retropreparation
   • Allows for small osteotomy size (approx 4mm in diameter), thus preserving bone This prevents endo perio  communication which is a common reason for failure in  conventional surgery
   • Eliminates the need for bevel, also preserving bone
